Women in Wheat

Subject Overview

There are many women working in wheat research, but this representation is not reflected in senior leadership roles. The Rosalind Franklin Women in Wheat Champions program led by the John Innes Centre (JIC) and The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) has been designed to tackle this issue.

Through this programme we have developed a series of career development training courses. These courses cover an array of topics that would be valuable to explore for any early-career researcher, from decision making to developing collaborative networks.

Each course is designed to be downloaded and delivered by a trainer to small groups. The courses are tailored specifically for early-career researchers (PhD students, post-docs, research assistants etc) and working through these courses as a group, enables individuals to learn through shared experiences.
